The HackaTRON - In Depth on Tracks + Submission Tips
Hi HackaTRON participants,
Let’s go over the tracks in depth so you know which one fits your submission best!
The 6 HackaTRON Tracks:
-
DeFi
-
This track has to do with creating decentralized financial applications. Some examples are decentralized exchanges, lending protocols, and synthetic assets. Any traditional finance applications re-inventing themselves onto the blockchain is a good fit here!
-
NFT
-
The NFT track deals with NFTs or Non-Fungible Tokens. If your project is centered around NFTs such as an NFT marketplace, NFT collection or utilizing NFTs in brand new ways, then this is the track you should choose.
-
GameFi
-
Bringing gaming to the blockchain. This track focuses on game developers and utilizing crypto and blockchain in gaming. This track will also accept submissions for Gaming SDK or tools that aid others to deploy their games on the blockchain.
-
Web3
-
Web3 is for other applications or infrastructure deployed on the blockchain. Some examples could be a social media dApp, blockchain identity system or e-commerce payment infrastructure for crypto.
-
Ecosystem
-
This track is for 100% Ethereum projects for TRON Grand Hackathon Season 3. If you are submitting an Ethereum project that has not yet been built on TRON or BitTorrent Chain, then this is the track for you.
-
Academy
-
The Academy track is only open to currently enrolled students. The registration for this track will be through a different platform announced at a later date so stay tuned for updates! Students may sign up with their .edu email for easier verification and there will also be an in-person event held within the United States for those who wish to participate on-site.
Submission Tips:
When you submit your project on Devpost, you will need to declare if your project is a:
-
Update/Extension to an existing project
-
Completely new project created this year but have not joined a hackathon
-
Completely new project created on/after Sept. 20th
If a project can run independently from its existing project and doesn’t need to make use of features from the existing project, then it can be considered a completely new project. If it is just a rebrand, improvement, or add-on to an existing project, then it won’t be considered a new project.
